Sofia Chen joined LUMA & CO. TEXTILE in 2014 after seven years at a vertically integrated towel mill in Shaoxing. She runs our merchandising team — twelve people split across hotel/spa accounts, lifestyle retail, athletic brands and promotional programs. Her work covers every stage between a brand brief and a ship-ready container: tech-pack interpretation, fabric and weave recommendations, sampling cycles, Pantone matching, and walking buyers through compliance and inspection.
She holds a degree in Textile Engineering from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and is fluent in English, Mandarin and conversational Italian. Her published guidance covers hospitality sourcing, fabric selection, color matching and tech-pack templates.
