The 'biggest bath towel' format is the XXL spa wrap at 110 x 220 cm (43 x 87 inch). These are used for full-body wraps in luxury spa programs, oversize beach/pool day clubs, and ultra-premium hospitality. Per-piece cost is roughly 2x a standard bath towel due to fiber consumption. Above 220 cm length, the format becomes a 'beach blanket' rather than a towel.

How to spec dimensions in your tech-pack

When sourcing a custom program, always spec dimensions with five fields:

1. Nominal width × length in centimeters (e.g., 70 x 140 cm)
2. Dimensional tolerance band (e.g., ±2 cm)
3. Pre-wash or post-wash measurement — towels shrink 3-7% in first wash; specify which measurement applies
4. Hem allowance — is the dimension to the hem stitch line or the outer hem edge?
5. Inch equivalent for reference, not as primary spec — production runs in centimeters

Common sizing mistakes in B2B sourcing

• Spec'ing inches without specifying US or UK inch convention — they are the same, but the floors are different per region
• Not specifying pre-wash vs post-wash dimensions — leads to 'samples were larger than bulk' complaints
• Using brand-name sizing (e.g., 'Standard Hilton bath towel') — mills do not have access to brand-internal specs; convert to cm
• Mixing tolerance bands between hem and overall — be specific
• Skipping the dimensional tolerance entirely — mills will then default to ±3-5%, which may not be acceptable for your program
